Compliance Administrator

A leading asset management company based in the southern suburbs is looking for a Compliance Administrator to join their team.
DUTIES:
Ensure compliance implementation and maintenance of compliance risk management and monitoring plan.
Monthly and quarterly monitoring of the primary legislation impacting the business, including wider legislative, regulatory, company and industry standards.
Preparation of compliance and statistical reports, which reports are to either business, clients or the regulator.
Review of all marketing material in accordance with Board
Managing ad hoc compliance projects from start to finish.
Train and assist employees to improve their regulatory knowledge.
Condense, refine, simplify and communicate the purpose and significance of internal guidelines and external regulations.
Keep abreast with current and new legislation.
Maintain FAIS compliance procedures and manuals for the FSP.
Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Head of Legal and Compliance.
REQUIREMENTS:
Relevant qualifications (Law degree or relevant financial degree).
3 – 5 years’ relevant experience within asset management and collective investments schemes.
Additional qualifications such as a Certificate in Compliance Management / FAIS RE 1 will be advantageous
In depth knowledge of the following legislation:
Collective Investments Schemes Control Act, Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, Financial Intelligence Centre Act.
Good general knowledge of the financial services industry.
ASISA codes and standards.
High level of computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
