Head of Digital Product

Our client in the digital investment space is looking to expand their cape town team.

We are looking for a product leader to design and execute on the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our client’s digital experience, fulfilling individual and institutional client needs and product-market fit. This position forms a key role in the business team and will own the product prioritization, feature sets and lifecycle for our clients across multiple jurisdictions. The role provides a unique opportunity to accelerate your ambitions as the single point of accountability for the product-market fit across a global suite of digital investments.


● Provides product vision and direction for digital experiences that drive client engagement,
reinforces the brand, and ultimately grows and improves AuM and client retention
● Defines and assigns features to specific releases to meet key business objectives and serving
client expectations
● Sets product prioritisation and ensures appropriate delivery through a cross functional team
● Active team member in business and outsourced engineering teams to drive business
objectives through product-market fit
● Serves as key integration point with engineering, business process, compliance/legal and
business leadership
● Establishes and monitors client satisfaction and other KPIs to define the success of our digital
experiences; identifies and lead efforts to analyze results and continuously improve our
performance through product improvements
● Continuously improve product engagement through active client development and testing
● Understand changing investment / asset management and Crypto trends to apply strategies
and product enhancements that deliver added value
● Generates new product ideas, researching and analyzing for feasibility and business impact
● Ensure a consistent and easy to use client experience across all digital touchpoints
● Provides strategic input to client experience improvements (individual and institutional) that
help drive client acquisition, retention, and AuM
● Creates insights to guide our strategy and product direction through understanding client
needs and behaviors, competition and emerging technologies

Skills, experience and qualifications:
● Minimum Qualification – Degree (or diploma) in Commerce/Software Engineering/Finance
● Preferred Master’s Degree or additional qualification in marketing, business administration,
information technology
● 5+ years in a Senior product management / leadership role
● Asset Management/Cryptocurrency product leadership experience
● Interest and knowledge of cryptocurrencies and the regulatory and client challenges (both
individual and institutional)
● Understanding of regulation and compliance relating to product (e.g. FIC, POPIA, FAIS)
● Strong analytics understanding in digital product management
● Ability to influence and engage at an executive level with respect to client centric product
● concepts and best practices
● The ability to work under your own initiative and to strict deadlines
● Meticulous and good team player and able to work on own initiative
● Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing
