Portfolio Administrator

Our client is looking to grow their team due to steady market growth. The potential candidate will play a significant role in supporting this growth and will be primarily responsible
for all aspects of day-to-day activities of the portfolios.

Duties and Responsibilities:
– The Administrator will be involved in daily end-to-end portfolio activities, including reconciliations, and recording of transactions
– Perform daily reconciliations which assist with the daily valuation and investment making decision process, including trade, cash, and positions of the portfolios
– Perform full end to end accounting and administration services in calculating and checking the Net Asset Values of the various portfolios
– Identify exceptions and problems affecting the valuation of the portfolio’s assets, communicating these to management, and assisting in their resolution
– Reconcile various accounts, or reviewing reconciliations prepared by others, and promptly researching and correcting any variances
– Responsible for monitoring and documenting the flow of information
– Participate in regular rotation of trade processing and other administrative processes to prepare the daily portfolio summary system for the next day
– Assist, as assigned, in preparing MDD’s (fund fact sheets) and SARB reporting
– Serve as backups to your colleagues

Education/Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree with exposure to finance or similar analytical course work
– Relevant experience of at least 2- 3 years in financial services administration
– Preference would be given to individuals with experience in fixed income
