Senior Crypto Arbitrage Trader – Southern Suburbs, Cape Town

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Crypto Arbitrage Trader to join their dynamic team in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Trading Operations:
○ Execute crypto arbitrage trades, ensuring best execution practices to maximize returns.
○ Monitor FX and cryptocurrency markets to identify arbitrage opportunities.
○ Develop and implement trading strategies for arbitrage in the crypto markets.

2. Market Analysis:
○ Conduct in-depth analysis of global FX and cryptocurrency markets, including economic indicators, market trends, and geopolitical events.
○ Provide regular market updates and insights to clients and internal stakeholders.

3. Client Relationship Management:
○ Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored trading solutions.
○ Act as a key point of contact for clients, addressing any queries and providing expert advice on crypto and FX trading.

4. Risk Management:
○ Identify, monitor, and manage risks associated with arbitrage trading activities.
○ Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies.

5. Team Leadership:
○ Contribute to the continuous improvement of trading systems and processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (BCom) or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in FX trading, with a proven track record of successful trading performance.
• Proficiency in trading platforms, risk management tools, and market analysis software.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed trading decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate market views and trading strategies clearly.
• Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
• In-depth understanding of FX market regulations and compliance requirements.
