Our client, a niche credit fund, specializing in property secured lending is looking to hire a bright, young individual to join their team as the Financial Manager.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support finance team

  • Review month end files each month

  • Review management packs each month

  • Presentation and discussion of management packs to senior management each month

  • Submission of monthly management packs and quarterly updates and financial information to shareholders/investors

  • Review of vat and income tax submissions

  • Key person responsible for liaison with auditors, to schedule and complete all audits, within tight deadlines, which includes dealing with all queries and submission of all disclosures and requested information.

  • Review of individual and consolidated financial statements

  • Managing the creditors control function

  • Review and approval of all payment requisitions

  • Review of all legal documentation linked to each deal, to make sure finance and legal align

  • Key person responsible for liaising with investors regarding financial information requested from them on a monthly / quarterly or ad hoc basis

  • Managing the tax efficiency between the group companies

  • Preparation of a cashflow and profit forecast on a quarterly basis and preparation of a comparison between budget vs actual

  • Presentation of the forecasts to senior management on a quarterly basis

  • Deregistration of older funds, companies and trusts in the group

  • Treasury management

  • Risk management

  • Overall management of the property portfolio

    Qualifications

  • CIMA or someone with a bachelor’s degree with substantial experience

  • At least 3 years of work experience in Finance post articles

  • Compliance experience would be beneficial

  • Must be highly competent in excel and Advanced excel skills would be beneficial

  • Financial modelling experience would be beneficial

  • Must have High Level of Integrity

  • Must have good social skills and be able to adapt easily to any situation

  • Must be Organized with the ability stay calm and to drive various tasks to completion at the same time

  • Must be able to communicate with different stakeholders clearly and effectively

  • Must have the ability to identify risk/ problems and problem solve it to minimize risk

  • Must be able to operate on his/her own but also to work well within the team
