Our client is an established Wealth Management firm that strives to provide a specialist solution to their client's individual financial needs, by offering a comprehensive range of services and expertise to manage and grow their wealth.

In this role, the successful candidate will provide professional tax and accounting services to clients, including the preparation and review of financial statements, tax compliance, and client advisory support. The role focuses on delivering high-quality outputs, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal best practice


Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting & Financial Reporting

    • Drafting annual financial statements for companies, trusts and sole proprietorships in accordance with applicable accounting standards

    • Preparing compilation and Independent Review files in accordance with the applicable standards

    • Reviewing and analysing financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance

    Tax Compliance & Advisory

    • Preparing and submitting tax returns for individuals, trusts and company

    • Managing provisional tax calculations and submissions

    • Liaising with SARS on client queries and compliance matters

    • Monitoring tax deadlines and ensuring timely submissions

    Client Service & Relationship Management

    • Acting as a point of contact for client queries and requests

    • Communicating financial and tax matters clearly to clients

    • Identifying opportunities to improve client processes and add value

    • Maintaining strong, professional client relationships

    General & Practice Support

    • Supporting the management team with workflow management and administrative tasks

    • Assisting with billing processes and fee preparation

    • Maintaining accurate client records across systems

    • Contributing to continuous improvement within the team

Requirements

  • BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification

  • Completion or progress towards SAICA/SAIPA articles (advantageous)

  • 3-5 years’ experience in accounting, tax or audit

  • Experience preparing reviewing financial statements

  • Exposure to client-facing roles

  • Microsoft Office

  • Accounting software (e.g. CaseWare, Xero, Pastel or similar)

  • Tax software (e.g. ProfTax, eFiling) and Sharepoint (advantageous)

  • Accuracy, devotion to quality, planning

  • Organizational sensitivity, cooperation

  • Integrity, service oriented

  • Works well under pressure
