Our client is is a statutory organisation serving the building industry. They promote fair employment practices and labour stability by facilitating collective bargaining, managing employee benefit schemes, and providing dispute prevention and resolution services.
The Financial Manager will manage the finance team and ensure the financial, the integrity, and strategic direction of the organisation through effective management of its financial resources and provide financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets and forecasts aligned with organisational goals.
Monitor financial performance, analyse variances and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare and present management accounts, financial reports and recommendations.
Manage cash flow, banking relationships, investments and payment of liabilities.
Maintain financial controls, manage risks and ensure regulatory, tax and accounting compliance.
Oversee external audits, payroll approvals and insurance requirements.
Oversee tax calculations, statutory returns and submissions.
Lead, mentor and develop the finance team and provide financial guidance to other departments.
Oversee financial systems, technology and reporting solutions.
Maintain accurate financial records and provide ad-hoc financial support to management.
Requirements
CA(SA) qualification.
3–5 years’ experience in a financial management role.
Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and cash flow management skills.
Knowledge of IFRS, taxation, audits, internal controls, risk management and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in ERP and accounting systems, Excel, financial modelling and reporting tools.
Strong strategic financial planning, business partnering and cost management capabilities.
Proven leadership, performance management and process improvement skills.
Excellent communication, analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
