Our client is a global specialist supporting crypto and digital asset projects with accounting, operations, governance and launch services. As part of GSR, the company works with projects throughout their lifecycle, from formation and launch through to ongoing operations and growth.
Our client is looking for an experienced and reliable Financial Accountant to join their team supporting Foundation clients in the digital assets space. This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, and work independently with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Operate as the outsourced financial accountant for our Foundation clients, with responsibilities across:
Day-to-day financial operations and bookkeeping
Preparing and posting journals (QuickBooks experience essential)
Monthly management accounts, including income statement and balance sheet reviews
Budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis
Liaising with our Cayman-based team on financial reporting and commentary
Overseeing payments, reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring
Ensuring compliance with internal controls, KYC and basic regulatory requirements
Communicating directly with clients and external service providers
Requirements
A deep understanding of accounting principles (formal qualification preferred)
2–3+ years post-qualification experience in a finance or accounting role
Strong experience in preparing management accounts and handling full finance function ownership
Proficiency with QuickBooks and other accounting systems
Comfortable working independently — a self-starter who requires minimal training
Maturity and reliability — we are ideally looking for someone around 30 years old or older who brings a sense of accountability and ownership
Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with senior stakeholders, including international teams
Advantageous:
Previous experience in an outsourced finance or client-facing role
Exposure to Web3, crypto, or digital assets
Knowledge of Cayman or other international financial governance frameworks
Experience with both fiat and digital asset payments and reconciliations
