Our client, an established property management company based in Mowbray, are looking for a Bookkeeper/Accountant to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
Process day-to-day financial transactions on Xero: accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
Perform monthly bank reconciliations across all company accounts
Reconcile control accounts and investigate/resolve variances
Capture and code supplier invoices, and process supplier payments
Raise and send client/owner invoices, and track payment collection
Manage the debtors and creditors function, including following up on outstanding balances
Process payroll-related entries and statutory payments (PAYE, UIF, VAT) as needed, or liaise with the relevant provider
Ensure supporting documentation is filed and audit-ready for all transactions
Manage and reconcile expense floats and cards used by maintenance, housekeeping and guest experience staff across properties
Chase and process expense slips and supporting documentation from field staff
Support the short-term rental payment cycle: reconciling Airbnb/Booking.com payouts, fee deductions, and owner payments
Pick up broader bookkeeping and HR admin tasks as needed while the finance team is short-staffed
Work closely with the business owner, flagging issues early and looking for solutions rather than just processing numbers
Requirements
BCom Finance, Accounting or relevant qualification
4+ years in Bookkeeping or Accounting
