Our client is a boutique investment firm that hosts some of the top independent multi-managers in the industry.

Within the asset administration field, this role is focused on trade processing, cash management, reconciliations, compliance, and day-to-day operational support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly journals, accruals and provisions.

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Maintain general ledger integrity across group entities.

  • Process month-end and year-end accounting entries.

  • Assist with the preparation of management accounts.

  • Maintain finance lease and rental asset schedules.

  • Process asset acquisitions and disposals.

  • Monitor depreciation and amortisation calculations.

  • Support the managing lease and rental portfolio reporting.

  • Assist with payment run preparation.

  • Monitor debtor balances and ageing.

  • Assist with investigating account queries and collection reporting.

  • Assist with VAT submissions, Income tax, Audits, Statutory returns.

  • Produce supporting schedules for management accounts.

  • Assist with board and funder reporting where required.

  • Identify opportunities to improve finance processes.

  • Assist with implementation of new systems and reporting enhancements.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years working experience within investments/administration

  • Understanding the landscape of the asset administration function, familiarity and experience with:

  1. How a Management Company operates with their appointed Administrator (i.e. Curo). The different role-players and their responsibilities throughout the trade process

  2. The Administrators role withing the fund accounting process

  3. Systems used within the industry (e.g. Finswitch)

  • Takes initiative

  • Takes ownership and accountability for tasks

  • Not afraid to ask questions and learn

  • Works well within a team

  • Good time management, ability to prioritise and adhere to deadlines

  • Good communication & interpersonal skills
