The Senior Accountant is responsible for full-cycle accounting and financial oversight of multiple IT and procurement-focused legal entities. This role will build a small accounting team to support transaction processing, reporting, and controls. Ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, intercompany alignment, and compliance with corporate policies and statutory requirements, while partnering closely with IT leadership, procurement teams, and FP&A.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Close: Lead month-, quarter-, and year-end closes, prepare journal entries, financial statements, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Cash & Bank Management: Oversee bank reconciliations, monitor cash balances, and manage funding requirements.
Procurement & IT Cost Accounting: Manage accounting for IT and procurement costs, including software, SaaS, and capitalized development; ensure correct capitalization and expense treatment.
Cost Analysis & Budget Tracking: Analyze costs, provide variance insights, identify optimization opportunities, and support budgeting and re-forecasting.
Intercompany & Cost Allocation: Manage intercompany billing, cost allocations, and reconciliations; support transfer pricing documentation.
Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage accounting team for assigned entities.
Internal Controls & Compliance: Maintain financial controls, support audits, statutory reporting, and liaise with tax advisors
Requirements
BCom in relevant degree or similar
CPA designation (or in progress)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Experience in multi-entity or shared services environments
Strong knowledge of accounting for IT and procurement-related costs
ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics, etc.)
Advanced Excel skills
Demonstrated experience supervising or building teams
Analytical mindset with attention to detail
Effective communicator with non-finance stakeholders
Process-driven with continuous improvement focus
