Our client is a South African supplier of digital print media and textile solutions for the signage, printing, display, decor, and apparel industries. They specialize in materials for dye-sublimation, eco-solvent, UV, and latex printing.
This is a great opportunity for a junior bookkeeper in their early twenties, who has recently finished studying, and is looking for a permanent role where they are able to grow long term with the company.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the Tax Team on a variety of administrative tasks and developing an understanding of how a professional tax practice operates
Assisting with month-end billing and fee quote preparation
Supporting the onboarding of new clients, including system updates and eFiling processes, with a focus on building strong client relationships
Assisting with SARS registrations and deregistrations
Updating Registered Representatives with SARS
Tracking the progress of tax returns, submissions, and deadlines, building familiarity with tax systems such as ProfTax
Assisting with booking SARS appointments and preparing supporting documentation
Requesting compliance documents such as Good Standing Certificates
Liaising with SARS to resolve queries and develop an understanding of tax processe
Requirements
Matric
0-3 years’ experience -the role is well suited to someone early in their career and eager to learn, develop professionally as well as gain exposure to the tax environment
Microsoft Suite skills
SharePoint (advantageous)
