In this role, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial records, maintaining reconciliations, preparing management accounts and budgets, overseeing tax compliance, and supporting annual audits.
Key Responsibilities
Capturing and processing creditor invoices
Issuing rental and service-related invoices
Processing journal entries
Reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable
Preparing VAT returns
Calculating and reconciling interest received and interest payable
Calculating and reconciling dividends received and dividends payable
Capturing and processing bank payments
Performing bank reconciliations
Preparing weekly and monthly management accounts
Preparing detailed annual budgets and forecasts
Assisting with and ensuring the timely completion of the annual audit process
Implementing and maintaining accounting controls and procedures
Requirements
Degree in Accounting, Finance or related
Completed SAIPA/SAICA articles
