Our client is a global sportswear apparel brand with a strong market position and its own manufacturing facility in South Africa.
This role will take full ownership of the day-to-day financial management of the company and play a key role in supporting the broader group subsidiaries in Europe, the UK and Australia, as they continue to scale internationally.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the finance team and ensure accurate, timely delivery of all accounting and reporting activities
Prepare, review, and sign off on management accounts, cash flow forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis for executive review
Maintain strong working relationships with banks, auditors, funders, and external advisors
Support basic transfer pricing principles and ensure correct intercompany billing
Drive financial modelling and scenario planning to support international expansion and operational decision-making
Ensure accurate cost accounting, margin analysis, and manufacturing financial controls across product lines
Collaborate closely with Merchandise Data and Systems, Operations, and Finance support staff to strengthen merchandise planning, stock management, and pricing decisions
Identify inefficiencies, gaps, or risks in current processes and implement practical improvements
Requirements
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential
A professional qualification, such as CIMA or CA(SA), is preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management or senior finance role within a manufacturing or product-based environment
Strong working knowledge of Xero and confidence working across multiple systems and data sources
Proven experience with intercompany accounting and group consolidation
Exposure to international tax, VAT, and excise regulations would be advantageous
Strong analytical capability with solid financial modelling skills
Steady, reliable, and detail-focused, but proactive and willing to get involved operationally to improve how the business runs
