Our client is a technology company that provides a platform for curating, licensing, and managing visual content from across the internet for use in advertising and marketing campaigns.
The Group CFO / Principal is responsible for financial leadership, capital strategy, structuring, and long-term value creation across the group. The role exists to give the founders clarity, control, and optionality as the business scales operating companies, IP-led ventures, and acquisition opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Act as senior financial partner to the founders
Set standards, cadence, and expectations across the finance function
Serve as escalation point for financial risk and judgement
Lead and coordinate external advisors (tax, audit, legal)
Help shape a scalable finance structure over time
Dedicate time to:
Financial structure and architecture across the group
Capital allocation, funding strategy, and balance sheet planning
Venture and IP economics (SKNS and future initiatives)
Commercial and strategic enablement of Cache
Strategic oversight of founder trusts and capital flows
Senior financial judgement, risk management, and decision support
Requirements
CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification
Minimum 8 years’ post-articles experience, including at least 4 years in a senior financial leadership role, preferably as CFO with Board-level engagement
Proven track record in structuring and leading a full finance function
Experience in advertising or creative sectors advantageous
Experience developing teams, systems, and processes to deliver accurate, timeous financial reporting
Systems- and data-oriented
Strategic, analytical thinker with high financial acumen and strong attention to detail
