Our client is the manufacturing and operational arm of a renewable energy group with 700 active installations across South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zambia.
The financial manager will run the full finance function and the operations and supply-chain engine of the head company. You will oversee precise cost accounting, inventory valuation, payroll, maintenance cost recovery, and regulatory compliance across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead cost and management accounting, including standard costing, margins, and variance analysis
Oversee inventory, production, and maintenance cost control
Manage payroll, transactional finance, and month-end reporting
Provide multi-region finance oversight and consolidated reporting
Manage cash flow, treasury, and FX exposure
Ensure tax, regulatory, and audit compliance
Govern financial systems, data integrity, and procurement controls
Deliver KPIs, dashboards, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification
Minimum 5 years’ experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role
Proven track record in structuring and leading a full finance function across manufacturing, operations, and funding environments
Experience in infrastructure or other asset-based sectors advantageous
Demonstrated exposure to cross-border, multi-currency, and fund-finance environments
Strong capability in capital structuring, investment analysis, and cashflow optimisation
Experience developing teams, systems, and processes to deliver accurate, timeous financial reporting
Systems- and data-oriented, with experience leveraging digital finance systems and analytics platforms
